Starting at the age of 4, Joseph Tarzan Fernandez always dreamed of being a professional soccer player. He worked hard to accomplish his goals everyday and after graduating college, achieved his dream. During his time playing, he soon discovered his love for teaching, whether it was young kids or teammates; he always sought to better the individual players around him. Upon earning his USSF License, he decided to take the next step in his career and pursue coaching as well. He studied under phenomenal coaches such as Zlatko Arambasic, Andrew Britton, Alan Kelley and Abraham Kim, all of which were former world-class professionals. He learned different styles from the English DNA to the world famous CogiTraining of Belgium. He continued to make new connections throughout his career and in doing so, decided to finally take the next leap and create his own program, henceforth, Tarzan Futbol Academy was born. Tarzan continues to play today and hopes to help shape the players of tomorrow so they too can accomplish their dreams as well.
